K-12 and Informal Educator Forums: Lessons Learned in Remote STEM (July 24-25).


Teaching STEM is always challenging. This year of remote learning has required K-12 teachers and informal educators to pull out the creative stops. We will hold informal online peer group sessions for you to compare notes and reflect on what worked, what didn’t, and new elements you may bring to your practice even when school returns to normal.


We will have one-hour sessions,  each kicked off with two or three five-minute presentations, followed by moderated discussions. We will try to keep the sessions small to encourage interaction.


Respond at the links below to let us know your interests, and whether you would like to present at, or moderate, a session. In line with the theme of the conference, this is intended to be both reflective and looking forward to what you think might work in the next year.  Don’t feel you need to have all the answers!

We would like to know:
  • Whether you might be interested in doing a five-minute presentation about your work to kick off the live interactive online session (2 or 3 per one-hour session)
  • Whether you are interested in moderating a session
  • What age group you teach (or whether you are an informal educator, consultant, etc)
  • And what topic(s) interest you.
